At Lagarta, we believe that tourism should be a positive force for the community. Over the years, we have developed partnerships with local institutions that share our vision of a more inclusive world.
We work continuously to ensure that all people can enjoy our experiences, regardless of their abilities. To this end, we invest in training our team and continuously improving our services, carefully listening to each visitor's needs.

Tourism without barriers, experiences for everyone
Wheelchair Access
In the future, we will have a carriage with a dedicated wheelchair space. We also plan to provide an adapted bathroom in downtown Ponta Delgada, equipped with a ceiling hoist for people with reduced mobility.
Multilingual Audio Guide
We are preparing the implementation of audio guides and explanations in Portuguese Sign Language (LGP) and International Sign, as well as audio guides for children and information in Braille.
Families with Children
We do not yet have a sensory waiting room for children and adults with special needs, but we aim to make one available soon.
Personalized Assistance
We are strengthening our team's preparation so that we can soon provide special assistance to those who need it.
